Q. Why did you choose Allely Estate as your Wedding venue?
As we were living and planning a wedding overseas, we wanted somewhere that had experience hosting weddings. Allely Estate appealed due to its all-inclusive package which was perfect for us as it limited the number of wedding vendors involved. We also loved the gardens and the options it provided as well as the marquee. Plenty of parking on-site and no noise restrictions or curfew before midnight.
Q. Did you have a theme or vibe?
Modern, white, sleek.
Q. Did you incorporate any tradition?
Having our families be a big part of our day. Not seeing each other on the day until the bride walked down the isle.
Q. What advice do you have for other couples?
We were fortunate that we had 18 months to plan our wedding and locked in all the big items early on. Choose wedding vendors that understand you as a couple and will work alongside you to achieve you mission. Spreadsheets are helpful to bring everything together, keep on top of to do lists and budgets.
Q. How did you both meet? What is your personal 'love story'?
How any modern love story began – on Bumble. Our first meeting being at a rooftop bar where we both thought we had stood each other up due to waiting for each other at different places around the bar. Eventually we were able to find one another, and the rest is history!
Q. Tell us about your favourite wedding moment?
Favourite wedding moment was having all our nearest and dearest there to celebrate with us on our big day. Our first dance under the fairy lights in the courtyard was also a highlight.
Q. What special touches were important to you?
Having memories of loved ones who couldn’t be there. Having family be a big part of our day through speeches and readings.
Q. What was your best decision about the wedding?
Trusting the professionals to delivery our vision. Choosing a venue that was flexible with plans and helped us to deliver our vision.
