Muriwai Community Rebuild Charity Lunch & Auction – let’s raise $150,000+

We are very excited to share some exciting auction items below.

Sunday 26^th March 2023 – 12 to 4pm

Unprecedented landslides have devastated the Muriwai community.

The event was traumatic with many harrowing stories of close calls.

148 homes have been red stickered.

No one is able to enter their properties.

Homes have been totally destroyed.

Families are displaced.

Policemen, nurses, teachers and business owners are among those couch surfing with kids.

Hardworking kiwis have lost everything and are facing extraordinary uncertainty.

 

Please come and help us help this beautiful community.

Rotary Kumeu in conjunction with Allely Estate & Wine Time Limited are putting on this Charity Lunch and Auction. Allely Estate will be donating proceeds from the lunch and Wine Time will be donating $105 from every case sold.  A silent auction and on-site auction will raise further funds for this event.

Rotary Kumeu will be the custodians of all funds raised and the funds are earmarked to assist Muriwai Community Association with their goal to assist their community via the Muriwai Relief Fund for:

• Displaced families.
• Local Muriwai businesses.
• Restoration of Muriwai so that Muriwai and the wider Auckland area can enjoy her vast beauty again.

Raising funds for our community begins with local.

Eat, drink, and dig deep.

There will be eftpos for beverage purchases and proceeds from your spend on the cash bar will be included in this fundraiser.  Further details regarding the auction items and auction are coming soon.
