Q. Why did you choose Allely Estate as your venue?
We chose it because of the beautiful outdoor marquee and all the scenery surrounding the venue. We had so many ideas come to us as soon as we saw Alley which is why we knew this was the venue for us. Another reason is because of Athina the wedding planner. She had so much enthusiasm and so many ideas and we knew we would be well taken care of – we were not disappointed.
Q. What special touches were important to you?
Having our first dance under the fairy lights in the courtyard. It was so beautiful and romantic. Another one would be our wedding itself – we’d told people we were having a wedding reception as we’d had our wedding overseas. However, the guests didn’t know that my husband and I had planned for a secret ceremony during our reception since not everyone could make it overseas. Getting married in front of our closest family and friends tied the whole night together.
Q. Your wedding theme?
Our theme was elegance. We wanted to keep it simple but we also wanted to make sure the whole night was beautiful, which is why we chose to go with a red and gold colour scheme. We picked red roses for all our centrepieces and fairy lights for a romantic and elegant aspect.
Q. What was your best decision about the wedding?
Picking Allely Estate as our venue and choosing Stylish Events as our florist. The combination of the two was absolutely stunning.
Q. Your favourite moment?
It’s hard to pick one favourite moment because we genuinely enjoyed every aspect of the night from start to finish. But our top 3 would be saying our I do’s to each other, the food which was amazing and when we finished our first dance.
Q. Advice for other couples?
Don’t be afraid to be creative with your ideas. When it comes to life, it’ll all be worth it and will tie everything together. When in doubt, trust Athina. She’ll guide you and help your ideas come to life within your budget. Also, don’t learn your first dance the week before the wedding like we did! It’s an added stress you do not need!!
Q. Did you incorporate any tradition?
We didn’t incorporate any traditional aspects as we’d had a big Indian wedding overseas.
