What song did you walk up the aisle to? ‘You are the reason’ – acoustic by Calum Scott
Q. Why did you choose Allely Estate as your venue?
Allely Estate was the first venue that we laid eyes on and fell in love with. I loved the idea of having an outdoor wedding ceremony followed by a reception in the gorgeous marquee. The extensive garden area meant that guests could relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. There was also a bridal room provided on the day where the bridal party could relax before the ceremony and in between the ceremony and reception. As soon as I met wedding planner Athina, I knew the team at Allely Estate would bring my dream wedding to life, and they did not disappoint.
Q. Did you have a theme or vibe?
White, blush and greenery.
Q. Tell us about your favorite moment
The most important moment, and my favourite moment was the ceremony where we exchanged our own wedding vows.
Q. Did you incorporate any tradition?
Yes, the venue allowed us to serve a traditional Indian sweet after the ceremony.
Q. What special touches were important to you?
We had a memorial table to honour our parents that could not be there with us. Also, Shane wore something sentimental my father wore when he passed away, so I felt like he was walking beside me when both walked down the aisle together.
Q. Advice for other couples?
Enjoy every second and don’t sweat the small stuff because Athina will have your back! When people ask me what my wedding day was like, usually, my first response is ‘awesome.’ I don’t really know how else to describe it, because it was just that: awesome. Although one thing I maybe would have done differently is created a list of people to have photos with.
