Q. Why did you choose Allely Estate as your venue?

We wanted a venue that provided an outside garden area and could hold the ceremony/ reception in the same place with amazing food and service. We also needed a venue to accommodate 130+ guests and one that could provide additional services to make our day go smoothly. The first time we visited Allely Estate and met Athina Kaffes, it was like a match made in heaven. We gelled so quickly with Athina and she ensured we were well looked after the whole way through. The whole team ensured both us and our guests were well looked after from the beginning of the day to the very end. We are definitely feeling separation withdrawals as we had worked alongside Athina for 12 months and in that time she has become part of the family. The words ‘thank you’ are definitely not enough to say how much we really appreciate the team at Allely Estate.

Q. Did you incorporate any tradition?

Our traditional touch was the gifting of small cakes to show our appreciation to the church pastors. This tradition was adopted through the Samoan churches Philip had attended (being a pastor’s son).

Q. Your wedding theme?

Classic Romance with a colour scheme of blush pink and navy

Q. What special touches were important to you?

That the guests received their wedding favours personally instead of them just being laid out on the table.

Q. Your favourite moment?

For both of us it was finally getting married. Philip’s other favorite moments were our first dance and his father/daughter dance. I don’t particularly have a favorite moment – the whole day was my favorite!

Q. What was your best decision about the wedding?

Leaving the whole day in the hands of Athina Kaffes & the Allely Estate team. Best decision ever.

Q. Advice for other couples?

Our only advice would be to take a moment to soak in the day with your partner on the day. The day goes by so quickly… and whatever happens on the day, the small stuff is not worth the sweat.
