What song did you walk up the aisle to? Can’t help falling in love – Kina Grannis

Q. Why did you choose Allely Estate as your Wedding venue?

We wanted a garden-style wedding (even though we had to move indoors because of the weather) and Allely Estate was the best value for money.

Q. Did you have a theme or vibe?

Minimalist and simple. Lots of white with greenery.

Q. Tell us about your favourite wedding moment?

Honestly cannot pick a certain moment the day was just incredible especially since we missed out on doing it the year before.

Q. What was your best decision about the wedding?

Choosing Allely Estate. They helped so much and were so accommodating with the postponement. I ended up dealing with the team for just about 3 years in the end for planning and was just incredible.

Q. How did you both meet? What is your personal 'love story'?

We meet in high school at our wilder living week. We were both 14 years old. We started dating a couple of weeks after on the 7th December 2011. We made it through high school together and moved I moved in with Brendon when we finished school at 18. We got engaged at 19 and just stayed engaged as there was no rush. We decided to get married on our ten year anniversary however we still had restrictions in Auckland for covid 19. We still wanted to get legally married on that day (07/12/2021) so we did a small ceremony at Muriwai beach while I was 4 months pregnant with our first child, Anastasia Rae Fleet (born 28 May 2022). We decided since deposits were already paid we would still have a wedding for those who couldn’t be there but make it a big celebration for our first year wedding anniversary.

Q. What special touches were important to you?

We had our grandparent’s photos there for the ceremony, and our daughter walked down the aisle.

Q. What advice do you have for other couples?

Do what makes you happy for your day. Make it about the two of you. And it will go so smoothly, and you’ll have a blast.
