Authentic Greek Cuisine made by Athina and the Allely Estate kitchen brigade.
Allely Estate transported over 190 guests- to Greece on 15 April. There was no plane ticket required to experience an amazing slice of the Mediterranean for friends and family to enjoy. Strangers at the start of the night everyone was well acquainted in the customary Greek collectivist way of life. You see the social life of many Greeks is kept to a close circle of family and friends, with food, wine, laughter, and dancing.
Our Client Services Manager and Event Planner, Athina (who happens to also be a Chef by trade), and hails from Greece, planned this evening with passion and precision. She was right in her element with our guests, which included her family and friends Namier & Anna who used to work for Athina when Athina owned pizzerias their personal relationship spans over 18 years.
Our Head Chef, Kevin stepped aside for this event and let Athina lead the kitchen charge by creating traditional authentic Greek Food, which was one enjoyed by everyone.
Athina even created red eggs in the Easter tradition for Greeks given the date of his event coincided with Orthodox Easter.
Our Event & Venue Manager, Melissa was in her element as she was Master of Ceremonies for the evening, alongside delivering the event in collaboration with Athina and the team.
Entertainment for the evening was from Monique and her team from Abbraccia School of Belly Dancers. They wowed and encouraged the guests to participate in belly dancing.
As if that wasn’t enough Athina ascended from the kitchen and had all guests doing the zorba, along with Melissa & her had guests smashing plates on a white sheet for ease of clean up.
So much fun was had by all!! I mean why wash them when you can Oompa – Opa (Greek: ώπα) and smash them.
It was a memorable evening of entertainment which also included DJ Jade playing Greek music alongside a selection of other music to keep the guests buzzing. It truly was an electrifying atmosphere where strangers became kindred spirits or in the Greek customary collective way of ‘family & friends’ celebrating together.
Allely Estate looked so pretty in all her fairy light glory … this photo sums up the need to take a pew once everyone had gone.
